Hot Air Balloons

(On to Day 18 of the BlogHer challenge to post for 31 days with the prompt “hot”)

Years ago, my sister took my parents to a hot air balloon event.  She and my Dad went for a ride.  It was a wonderful ride but my sister did not think about the landing.  Landings in hot air balloons are not smooth, soft events.  My Dad was 80 at the time.  It was a landing none of them will ever forget. (He was a bit shook up but fine.)

Take to the skies

Hot air balloons

Wish I could fly

Feel the soft lift

Hot air balloons

No desire to land

Bump bump splat

Thanks for reading!

Bump bump splat, a very fun poem. I’m impressed that you continue to think of new hot ideas. Keep going………………………………

  2. I’ve always wanted to do that (go on a balloon ride, not bump bump splat). 🙂
