Wordsmith Studio Prompt – Water

This week’s prompt from Wordsmith Studio (www.wordsmithstudio.org) is water.

It has been very hot and humid here in the Midwest.  Today was the day of change.  It was cooler and the humidity was gone.  Part of this weather change was that the wind came off Lake Michigan. The lake was turbulent.  There were warnings about staying out of the water due to rip currents.

As usual, there were those who didn’t listen.

In my town, there are many parks next to the lake.  In this particular park, there is a fountain.  With my first picture, you might notice there is a piece of wood on the side of the island.

I thought that it looked tacky but as I got closer, I found out that the piece of wood had a purpose.

It is a ramp for the ducks!

Beautiful pictures. I wanted to jump in each one. I’m glad the ducks are well taken care of.
