Reading List 2014 Modification

On Monday, January 6, I posted my reading list for 2014.  (You can find it here, if you missed it.)

On that list was a new book from Charlene Harris.  The book is titled, Cemetery Girl.  I had read about it coming out and read a description of the book.  I have not only read all of the Sookie Stackhouse books by Ms. Harris but all her other series also.  I thought they were good light reading.

Yesterday was a long cold day.  The kind of day where you end up with the cold sinking into your body and having a hard time getting it out.  I had received an email in the morning telling me that Cemetery Girl was released.  I debated but decided that it was the perfect night to curl up with it.

I was surprised that there was a review in on the book already and since it gave the book only one star, I thought I should see why the reviewer disliked the book so much.

It seems that Cemetery Girl is a graphic novel.  No where in the description of the book did it say that it was a graphic novel.  First of all, let me say that while I know there is a huge following for graphic novels, I am not part of that following.  Also, the reviewer indicated that the graphic novel did not come across well on her ebook.

So, sadly, I removed the book from my reading list.  I would suggest to you that if you are familiar with Ms. Harris’s books (the Sookie Stackhouse being the most familiar) that you try some of her other series.

Thanks for reading!
